What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years Accounting Manager/Controller Role; Accounting Degree a plus

  • 5+ years Accounting in Flooring, Construction, Property Management and/or Real Estate for a $MM+ operation

  • Working knowledge RFMS a plus; proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel; tech savvy including internet

  • General construction knowledge as it relates to accounting (AIA, lien laws, draws, & percent of completion)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking, reconciliation, general ledger, sales & use tax, budgets, cash flows, financial statements, collections, and business plans

  • Superior management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity, and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment

  • An individual that is dedicated, responsible, knowledgeable, a leader and a motivator

What You’ll Do:
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the accounting and finance functions, direct accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of the company’s financial information.  You will monitor and evaluate the company’s performance and be responsible for maximizing return on investment, profit and loss, daily operation, planning and development.

  • Oversee all Accounting duties, including AR, AP, job costing, and other duties

  • Create the month-end closeouts: reconcile all accounts, internal reconciliations, budget to actuals, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time

  • Develop and maintain tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the owner including jobs that do not meet criteria for cost and gross profit

  • Verify monthly sales/use tax reports and make payments accordingly and ensure compliance with federal and state tax withholding and filing obligations for multiple states

  • Work with with CPA firm, bank, and insurance auditors throughout the year

  • Keep track of financing & lease programs for equipment, locations, vehicles, and purchase new vehicles as needed

  • Oversee maintenance issues for vehicles and buildings

  • Discuss cash flow projections and status of accounts receivable with owner and accounts receivable personnel ensuring that receivables are collected promptly, and commercial draw paperwork is filed timely and correctl

  • Review and discuss inventory with warehouse and purchasing personnel with regards to adjustments and cycle counts and provide guidance to management of inventory

  • Monitor manufacturer’s rebates and miscellaneous incom

  • Maintain company’s financial stability and integrity through sound decision making and ensure systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards

  • Work with owner to assist in formulating the company’s future direction & in developing financial & tax strategies
